New Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS is released

New Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 video shows the model that was showcased with the name Pulsar 200 SS. It seems Indian market will receive the bike with RS badging, while international markets like Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Turkey will receive the same bike with Pulsar 200 SS nameplate.

From the all round look of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 through this video, it seems the Racer Sports model will not offer racing stance to the rider. Between seat and clip-on handlebar heights, the rider may be taking more of an upright stance, preferred for touring rather than racing or attacking corners. Not that this will affect handling or harnessing pleasure from this sporty-looking machine, just that it could be no (or) very less different from riding a Pulsar 200 NS.

The very point of a sports version would usually be to offer a much agile riding experience, which may not be the case with Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. If this variant is already focussed more into touring, then why Pulsar 200 AS?
A benefit in Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 over 200 NS is the increased power. While the naked version delivers 23.52 PS max power @ 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm peak torque @ 8,000 rpm, same engine in Racer Sports model manages 24.4 PS @ 9,500 rpm and 18.6 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. This is just one PS less powerful than KTM Duke 200 and RC 200, and about 0.90 PS more than that of Pulsar 200 NS. Fuel Injection for RS 200 is not confirmed yet.
